Mushroom Knife no.8
Opinel have been making knives since 1890, when Joseph Opinel made his first knives in Savoie, France. They're still made in France 120 years later, and not much has changed since those first knives. Sure, a few improvements have come along the way, like the virobloc system that allows the blade of the knife to be safely locked into either an open or closed position, but it is still recognisably the same classic design that proved popular with French farmers so many years ago.
The stainless steel used in these knives makes them the perfect choice for the gardener. The harder steel will wear better under regular use, and its rust resistance makes them easier to care for and maintain. Wipe the blade clean after use, and dry when possible.
The mushroom knife features a curved blade perfect for harvesting mushrooms, as well as a ridged husker on the back of the blade for removing skins, and a brush on the end of the handle to prepare your mushrooms for the kitchen.
